Don't worry about it. I've given some presentations to the Haifa Linux Club
(back when I still was a Technion student - now I'm mostly back in Tel Aviv)
about open-source topics that are not Linux-specific:

* http://www.shlomifish.org/lecture/Perl/Newbies/

* http://www.shlomifish.org/lecture/Lambda-Calculus/

* http://www.shlomifish.org/lecture/Freecell-Solver/ (which like garlicsim is
a cross-platform project, although as opposed to it, it is written in C.)

You can find them and other not-exclusively-Linux-related-talks here:

http://www.haifux.org/lectures.html

The name "Haifa Linux Club" is not indicative of the club's scope. This may be
one reason why I changed the Tel Aviv club name to "The Tel Aviv Open Source
Club".
