[Haifux] save my Linux

I'm getting a feeling that ubuntu's 7.10 end-of-life is actually a cause for
some of this mess.

The lack of gutsy folders at http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/ may
have made the upgrade die in an unexpected way.
