Hello all,

We have the cooperation of the System & Software Development
Laboratory (Shahar Dag) for this year's W2L.
The orientation will be twofold: students on one hand, and general
population on the other.

Minimal time table (MUST events):

Oct 14 - semester opens
Oct 28 (Wednesday) , 12:30 - W2L (15 min) + Development tools.
Orientation: students who need to work with either Linux or
programming (ATAM, MATAM, SSDL, intro to programming). Shahar takes
care of PR to these populations. SPEAKER NEEDED!
Nov 2 (Monday), 18:30- Haifux - FOSS talk (ideology). Orientation:
general public. Speaker - Orna (unless you would like to volunteer)
Nov 3 (16:30-20:30) - SSDL lab - Installation/ Configuration party!
Shahar will enable attendants to log in to the internet as guests
through the lab, to verify internet configuration works. VOLUNTEERS
REQUIRED! Even if you can only attend some of the time. For this we
used to rely a lot on the Rifkin advisors - are there till any?

Optional additional talks (see past lectures in welcome.linux.org.il)
- PENDING ON SPEAKERS
If you wish to give such a talk (or another...) raise your hand!

*Welcome to Linux (how to copy and paste? groups and users. reading
mail. browsing the web....)
*Getting Help in Linux (pinfo, man, forums, irc, mailing lists, the
proper way to ask a question, google for the correct term...)
*Linux for fun - Eli Billauer

Shana Tova,
Orna.
