[Haifux] Ctrl-c Ctrl-v behaviour when using hebrew keyboard on ubuntu/gnome

for me happens on KDE even with c-t in Firefox(actualy Iceweasel on Debian
;) ).
Isn't there a way to automatically map the hebrew characters to their
corresponding latin when ctrl is pressed?
