Ecila and Humpty Dumpty have a great elevated fall

• If data needs to be retrieved from the disk, all the generated read requests go waiting for the (disk) elevator.
• This is for the same reasons as for having write requests use the elevator.
• Of-course, we don't want to wait too much:
  • unlike normal writes - for reads, the application is waiting.
