Users, Groups and Files

• Every File in the system has an owner User.
• When a User creates a new File - the File is owned by this User.
• The File also has an "owner Group".
• The owner Group, Normally, is the 'default Group' of the User...
• ...Except when it is not (as will be seen later on).
