Linux, SCSI and SANs

• Linux supported SCSI since very long ago - drivers for various SCSI controllers were in the kernel for years.
• Linux supports Fiber-Channel HBAs from various vendors.
• There are many non-SCSI devices that use the SCSI protocol on top of another protocol (e.g. USB) - Linux supports many of those too.
